Inform yourself! Venezuela nationalized its oil in 70s! Chavez wanted to control its oil industry. They compensated all the foreign companies and then decided to keep some and ask others to leave. Just like you Indians did to Brits. Stay on the right side of the history bro

Correction of a fact: VENEZUELA officially nationalized its oil industry on 1 January 1976, STOP saying that venezuelan oil was nationalized with Hugo Chavez. In 2002, Chavez fired over 18,000 PDVSA prepared workers and spezialiced in oil, and it was the begining of the decline of machinery and the proper maintenance of the oil industry in Venezuela. In 2007, Chavez began expropriating international and national companies in the country. So thanks for the information, but please, verify the history before speaking. Thanks!

You keep mentioning that they have issues because their infrastructure is old, but you leave out that they didn't have the infrastructure without the US companies coming in and paying to build out the infrastructure in the first place and then being kicked out of the country, which caused the equipment to become outdated and in disrepair.

It's not just about oil. Venezuela was under a dictatorship for a long time. I had friends that were from Venezuela and I'm pretty sure it was Hugo Chavez that was what's the dictator and they were here in America because in Venezuela you couldn't go to the store to buy food or medicine because there was no food or medicine in the store or the pharmacy so even if you had money there's nothing to buy what is the government was just taking over businesses and then running them into the ground. So it's not just about oil
