Shorts pay less the real money is in long form videos. The longer the better but you can definitely stick to 10-20 min videos. Longer is better because of the number ads they can put on it. The niche also matters, anything that appeals to people who are interested in making money or self improvement will get higher payout because big brands will pay more to put ads on those types of videos
