Quick question for you if you have a minute. I am what is knows as a pure scalper (1000 shares holding for 30 seconds to 3 minutes). Is it possible to trade futures in this manner? And make any money? A simple yes or no would be appriciated. CHEERS!
one thing i am confused about is that what if my trade get executed before newyork session like i trade forex and almost my every trade is executed from 11 PM EST to 10 AM EST because these are my trading hours and it hit tp/sl within few hours after execution or some times i hold trade overnight but very few so in this case my trade still comes in overnight category if yes then about Maintenance cost , the Maintenance cost will be charged for my every contract ? Ex = i placed Limit order for 6B of 2 contracts margin required for 1 contract of 6B is around 550 and Maintenance cost is around 2200 so if my limit order gets executed on 2 Am EST , what margin will i need to play the trade 550 * 2 = 1100 or 2200 * 2 = 4400 ?
