Nice advice..
How and when to invest a lumpsum, is a problem that almost every investor comes across, at some point of time.
On many occasions, good investing opportunities are lost just because of indecision. I have seen people sitting on piles of cash for months together.. The best option in such cases would be to put the bulk money in short term liquid fund and do STP to the equity funds of your choice.

If you have a lumpsum money in your hand you should keep half of it in your bank, making its fixed deposit and the other half should go into the stock market .
For eg – If you have 1 Lakh lumpsum amount, keep 50 thousand into a fixed deposit. From other 50 thousand, invest 30 thousand into a Largecap fund or simply into a Nifty 50 index fund and remaining 20 thousand into a flexixap or a midcap fund

@somethingtotellyou1231
we should invest entire lumpsum amount in any liquid fund. Then we should start STP from liquid fund to whichever equity fund as per your comfortable timeline.
