Bond increases in price will reduce interest rate and falling Bond prices increase interest rates. Increasing interest rates will increase all loans interest rates which will affect the rate of return on investment. If the return on investment is below the cost of borrowing, the project will not be started, and the economy will slow towards a deflationary period. If Bond prices are rising, interest rates will be going lower. Government borrowing will increase interest rates, and interest rates for the private sector will increase. Sometimes Government borrowing forces private borrowing out of the market because of the rate of return is not profitable. This is what has been happening to the United States economy, and the magnificent seven have enough free cash flow to keep their investments in AI going up until recently they are starting to borrow money for AI. The government through borrowing has destroyed the private sector’s ability to borrow because the return on investment is not profitable now. The whole AI investment is now being evaluated according to the return on investment, and the government debt is growing faster than the economy. The closing of the Federal Government was at a critical time, and it is a sign of a how desperate things are becoming with tariffs, and health care cuts needed to slow deficit spending. Too many countries are invested in the United States stock market and the AI infrastructure for return on investment to increase while Government borrowing is increasing.
