Actually, Big Time Rush taught me about investing at an early age. Basically, in "Big Time Bonus", the boys are given $5,000 each, and are expected to bring it all back at the end of the day. This is the transcript of the scene (Kendall, and everyone goofed with the money, but it still taught me about investing.):
(Katie:) Hey, I heard griffin gave you guys a fat bonus.
(Kendall, whispering:) Shh! It's a trap!
(Katie:) Did you put it in a towel?
(Kendall:) I didn't know what to do with it! We have until tomorrow to prove that we are responsible with our money because he thinks we're gonna do something stupid with it.
(Katie:) Like put it in a towel.
(Kendall:) Katie!
(Katie:) It's easy. He just wants you to do what he would do with it: Invest it and make even more money. I recommend commodities.
(Kendall:) Commodities, of course….What are commodities?
(Katie:) Just name a food you like.

(Edit:) Yeah, driving isn't an option for me, at all. Long story short: complex medical history. However, my parents give me the money they get from recycling water bottles, and I've been saving up for 2 years, now. I REALLY contribute to all the water bottles that end up in our bottle recycling, so they give that money to me.
