  Dear Sir, I have recently started my debt fund journey and I have been reading/hearing on the correlation of avg maturity w.r.t the investment horizon. However, you have quite a contrarian view/opinion/suggestion. It would really help to understand in more detail. If you could point me to the source of this view via example it would be very much appreciated. In parallel I am trying to search through freefincal too. With Regards.

  Sir after new taxation & indexation benefit discontinued I would prefer arbitrage fund for short term goals and balanced advantage fund for long term goals , worthless to buy debt funds for 10 years after this new taxation rules

  Can you please expand on your statement 'longer the average maturity longer the investment duration' … in other words why to hold the debt investment longer than its threshold period.
