i know this is an age old strategy. I feel like a lot of times though on a gap down lets say, we get further selling and then hit a key level and rocket up way past the open. Does it just not work on these days?
I trade the ORB strategy on the 5-minute chart during the London session, targeting a 1:2 risk-reward ratio. I mark out the range of the opening candle, and I need a breakout to happen within the next five candles (about 25 minutes). If there’s no breakout within that window, I skip the setup.
Once a breakout happens—either direction—I enter on the next candle, with my stop loss placed just below the breakout candle. I’ve backtested this over 7 months and got a 45% win rate.
Would really appreciate some honest feedback or any ideas for improvement
great video… after the 15-minute candle do you convert to a smaller timeframe or do you stay in the 15 minute time frame when using the actual "breakout" candle
ORB has been the most understandable strategy I’ve come across. Main issue I’m dealing with now is fake breakouts, or missing them entirely cause I wait for the retest back to range. Also I keep a 50tick SL and there’s quite a bit of times I get wicked out due to how volatile these markets have been
Thing that most people dont understand about using the ORB strategy is that you have to follow the trend and keep your eye open for fake. Break outs and liquidity sweep
Question, when you mention break the high and low, do you mean wick above and below or it has to close above or below? Do you lower the timeframe for the entry? Can I buy put when it breaking below and buy the call when breaking high ? DoI need more capitals in order to sell?
After watching many video's on this her one method is good but she should be using other indicators because false breakouts happen from time to time. One method is to have 2 charts open the 5 and 15 minute chart to see if that breakout continues pass the next 5 minute candle in the direction your taking.
Since she didn’t answer the question about when to time your trade, I’ll add some to it. Once one of the levels is broken, wait for a retest. Go to the 5min candles, once a red candle closes, when for a green candle to close and enter on the second green candle. Some enter their trades as soon as the high or low of the 15min candle is broken. Not always a good idea.
She has not mention that even if the Price break, There is still high high chance of price to fakeout. What I like to do is Wait for Retest to enter. If the price creates FVG even better. Remember, even break even is win or no entry if you see choppy moves
When you go long after the break of the high, it will go to your SL after back to upside.. When you go short after the break of the low, it will go to your SL after back to downside.. everyone knows this sht ! Only thing is where you guys set your SL ? Where you exact take your entry ! In different scenario's whats the plan ! This is important.
@ObsessionArchery

Knowing when to get in is the easy part. Knowing when to get out is what matters.
@johnouellet4099
Thank you
@salinaregusters2048
Are you not waiting for the retest and putting your trade in then?

@Adrianthetrader
If everyone is using it stay away from it
@jiorphia
Are you still offering the ORB Deep Dive for $149? I'm interested.
@gmac3311
Which time frame are you using to catch the break of the ORB? you didn't mention in your video

I trade orb and love it!
@ylohnitram
Are you profitable?
@iWash3d
Not waiting for a retest is stupid
@heartstrings110
I didn’t know so many people were using this strategy. I’m sure the institutions are aware now and planning many fake outs.
@prashantshrivas7281
What about SL
@rvdborne
Do you keep trading on the 15m
timeframe or change it into a different tf to get a more 'sniper entry'?

Can u show in a video

It looks like totally fake illogical strategy.

No retest of the fvg?
@Shawnkaysal
I wouldn’t enter on the initial breakout. I would wait for the inevitable retest.
