Thanks. I’m a new investor with Schwab. I liked your video because you explained about “market “ and “limit orders “. A stock I was into for $1K dived to almost what I bought at. I didn’t know how to sell so I sold with a Day and market setting. It told me what I was selling for so I pulled the trigger and still came out $35 more than I went into it for and didn’t lose any money.
I have a need to know what all the different types or parameters of buying and selling are. I used day and market for buying both of my positions but think the limit scenario is super useful especially with selling. Now that I bought and sold I feel more confident. Thanks. I liked your vid and subscribed.

Still doing my research on investing. I screwed the pooch when I first opened an account with TD Ameritrade. Little did I know. I was buying stocks on borrowed money. Called Margin trading. Lesson learned. Im not yet recouped but in do time. Luckily I can pay off what is owed if needed. Thanks for the vids.

So instead of buying by the share, is there a way to buy a stock by how much one has to spend? So, if i have 35 dollars to spend, but the stock is 5.50, i have to do the math, figure out that i want 6.363636363636364 shares??? There is no way to just buy by the dollar-to-spend rather than number of shares?

I don't know why some people complains about the video. It is focused on the search intention and answers quickly to the question of how to buy stocks on Charles Schwab. If you don't understand the concepts, that means you shouldn't start buying stocks yet (don't waste your money, practice with demo accounts and keep learning about the theoretical information). If it is too loud, just lower the volume on your device.
I'm still in my learning process before placing an order, don't feel I know enough yet, but that's why I'm looking for this kind of videos.
