This is actually not correct. Working for a wage is a way to obtain the capital to invest in appreciating or income generating assets. Anyone who saying you can never be rich obviously doesn't know how to save and invest their money. But it is true that most Americans are so undisciplined in spending that they just squander their paycheck buying mostly things they don't need. In that case, they are their own worse enemy.

Most businesses fail; most people have to learn how to live on their income. I think that most people are better off listening to Warren Buffett; save and invest in a standard stock portfolio. If you have a great idea that will solve a problem, go for it. But mot businesses fail. You usually give sound advice.
I don't know what Tilbury is, but if you are buying shares of funds or ETFs, go for it.
