    Can I ask you a question ? Do you live in a condo or house? The reason I ask is because my husband is in your age, I am a little younger, So sometimes I think that we should move into a condo for the convinence. Thx

    Thanks for sharing. The largest share of real estate is owned by the boomer generation. Like you, many will be retiring in the next 10-15 years. Many will need to liquidate investments or potentially downsize. Do you think there will be glut to properties on the market as boomer exit the market? The (bell) curve is fairly symmetrical in the upward and downward direction for almost all things in human (economics, markets) or natural realms. That is, the same demographic factors that drove the market up will now work in reverse. This has happened in JP, HK, etc many other places with RE booms.

    Hi Owen , don’t mind me asking but what would you suggest to do with the money that came out of your unit ? You had to of payed about 40% back to the government ? And would it not be better to have that guarantee income monthly? Too many questions perhaps but I am ten years older than you and my husband 5 more years on top of that ! Now we do have our investment units too ! And they are both down town ! I told you that before ! One in Regiment a one bedroom plus den and a big one , two bed two bath with large den with two bedrooms at the TV Towers ! For us it is the extra income but how long can we keep this up and also no more ? With other words , should we sell or hang on to it ? We are not getting younger ! Thank you Owen I hope in your semi retirement you keep your vlogs !

    It's just not worth the effort to be a landlord in BC. Rent barely covers mortgage and fees. The rules and regulations do not help landlords. If you have a problem tenant, you are screwed. I expect the trend will continue. There will be less rentals from mama and papas. People applaud when real estate developers are in financial trouble or no investors are purchasing. What they fail to realize is this trend will eventually cause a rental supply shortage. Where are renters going to find suites to rent if no investor invests?
