I wrote this for YOU… the guide I wish I'd had when I was starting my financial journey. To freedom! 🚐 💸
@whiskeywoman8711
I'd skip the total market funds and stick with S&P instead. International is the new frontier as US will decline on its current path.
@GautamV-w1o
why not target date funds
@LuisRivera25234
I feel like financial literacy should be a class taught in schools. Investing, how to budget money, save money, how IRA’s, Brokerages, 401k’s work, etc. Why isn’t this type of stuff taught? The most useful class I was ever taught that was related to money was economics.
@peachtreee4649
Jim Rohm said the best time to plant a tree is as early as possible and the 2nd best time to plant a tree is today. If you're in your 30s, 40s, and even 50s, don't worry. With age comes wisdom. I'm in my 40s and just pulled the trigger this morning on a Roth IRA after seeing my funds in a HYSA went from 5% to 3.75% APY within 1.5 year.
@DamarisSantiago-y2u
Is gold shares a good thing to add to your portfolio?
@salaceves1018
Very good video ❤
@shellmusic1
Are the index funds that I would invest in through my Roth IRA stuck in my Roth IRA until I’m 59?
If I need my index 500 funds in 10 years when I’m 50 do I then pay 10% tax because the investment is actually Roth IRA money?
@densnow4816
Great summary, but I still think bond funds are better in Traditional IRAs. Few people only have Roths.
@ernestomartinez5767
I Preferred Fidelity Fxaix,Fzrox Fskax ,Etc Vanguard Sook (:
@youngkwak9931
In 2060 you will need a minimum of 5million saved just to wipe your ass
@janettemartel9643
One opens a Roth IRA, which is a type of account, and not a type of financial product. Do people think if you open and deposit funds in a Roth IRA account, the money invests itself?
@janettemartel9643
Explain expense ratios
@joeybill5856
GREAT garden analogy Rose – visually and practically. Older Gen-X here retiring in a couple of weeks even though though I've been through a myriad of life experiences. Started out "working poor " in the mid 80s, divorced in the early 2000s, got financially waylayed in 2010-2011and worked my way out of it because of saving/investing and hard work (60-80/hrs a week for 25 plus yrs) Started investing with $10/week 31 plus years ago. Point being, if you start early, even if it's a small amount and stay the course, you WILL come out ahead. I had friends 30+ yrs ago making 2-3 times what I made 30-35 yrs ago and saved very little or nothing. Most will be working past 65 because they didn't save. Like working out, the hardest part is starting NOW. You won't regret it even if it's only a very small amount. And always educate yourself financially. Thanks for your videos Rose🙏
@ExileOnMyStreet
I would never set up my Roth with all of these investments. You need three VOO, QQQM, SCHD…VTI does NOT outperform a good S&P fund.
@austinmejia3210
Great info
@Laurie-qn9yl
Don’t put bonds in a Roth. Put them in a taxable account.
@TheMayleemelo
You are so amazing for putting in the time to help people (like me), who are illiterate in financial management. Thank you so much!
@Robert8455
Very nice video Rose. Packed full of useful information and very engaging. Love the visual garden analogy too. Thank you.
@hannahforrester6782
This was a very helpful video! I recently opened a Fidelity Roth IRA and had no idea how to actually invest the money. It sat there for about a month and thanks to Youtube, it is now invested. 🙂
@GeneralJET
Can someone explain the calculation at 1:16?
10000(1.1)^50 =1,173,908.529, which is way less than what was shown. Is it accounting for inflation or something? Also 50 years isn’t really a viable time horizon, as retirement age is only 65 anyways?
@adanorozco-c7y
If you diverse your portfolio how do you choose how much money do you need to put in each to invest what percent would benefit each for the long term
@zoeman7720
i am around 250k now, i get annoyed when I think that i should have been maximizing my contributions. I have been contributing to my Roth 401k since 2014, for the first 3 years i only invested 7k

@kennethchege4096
Thank you for the information provided in the cheat sheet…
@copewithlove
You broke down the complicated information into something really easy to understand. I loved the garden analogy so much! Thank you
@armandoa.moreno3262
Thank you Rose!!
@elistrauf
Thank you 😊
@SocietyOfOne
VOO, O and SCHD in my ROTH
@yourbestfriendjoshua
I personally use my Roth exclusively for covered call ETFs, because since I max it out right at the top of the year it continues to grow throughout the year at a quicker rate (15% gains this past year, for example) due to it automatically reinvesting its dividends every month… tax free. This portfolio you suggested here is AMAZING, but more ideal for a brokerage or 401k account if you plan on investing more than $7500 over the course of the year imo.
@ctgeblue17
Your timestamp can specified instead of calling each investment # will be more helpful if you want to be informative and not having us go through the video cuz I don't want to rewatch but just skip to the part I want to refresh.
