Those didn’t look like mosquitos. They’ll run into the same ethical barriers the others have. FAA and non-mosquito/housefly targeting… which high speed cameras complimented with AI can now solve…
I live in Karlsruhe a German city at the Rhein River and in summer we have severe problems with mosquitoes and another big problem is that tropical ones are coming to us… bro I who is the creator of this I really need that thing for the next summer 🙁
I can totally use this along with every other American barbecuing in the spring and summer or those sultry nights. Or just out there working on your car in the driveway lol
Is it possible to modify the detection so that it recognizes and shoots down Vespa Velutina insect – but not the honeybee? Every beekeeper would buy such a device 😁
This is definitely a great invention that will benefit mankind!
Killing mosquitoes, Saving lives!
Mosquitoes are the world's deadliest animals, causing over 1 million deaths annually, primarily from Malaria, which alone kills hundreds of thousands, mostly children. Other deadly diseases include Dengue fever (causing severe illness and ~40k deaths), Yellow Fever, Zika, Japanese Encephalitis, and West Nile Virus, with nearly 700 million infections each year globally, affecting health systems and causing significant suffering.
