Thank you Sir. What about investments in shares made from SB account when the person was a resident and living in India? If such shares are sold after he becomes an NRI, is repatration of sale proceeds +profit on sale of such shares allowed ? Also request your good self to please do a video on PINS/Non PINS investment account and how it differs from PIS account. Thanks in Advance,

If I already have a NRO bank account. Is it assumed to be NONPIS NRO account or is has to be designated as a NONPIS NRO account by doing some paper work?

Thank you sir. A question, do NRIs need to file for ITR (Tax returns in India) if investing under that PIS scheme and capital gains exceed threshold? I hear a lot of differing opinions on this point.

I have shares in the unlisted company that I work for through ESOPs. They are currently in NRO PIS Demat Account. Is NRO PIS the right type of account for holding ESOP shares? Do I need to transfer to non-PIS account? Also, what happend once the company gets listed post IPO?

Thank you very much for the information in a short duration.
    I have a question.
I have been an NRI since 2020, and recently, I have opened a demate account in zerodha linking my NRO account. The capital I have used to invest in the share market transfered from my NRE account to NRO account.
Is it the right way to invest being an NRI?
If not, what would be the consequences and best solution for me.
    Please advise.
    Waiting for your response.
    Thanks in advance.

are the profits from capital markets in NRO non-PIS account also repatriable ? Given the fact that it is within 1million USD limit. I am asking this question because the NRI demat account says that NRO non-PIS accounts are non-repatriable, but if i pay the taxes then and follow 15CA and 15CB then can the money be repatriated?

    Hello.
I have a question, I am an NRI from Germany and I want to know if I want to invest in mutual fund in India with the long term goal that if needed I would like to sell the mutual fund and take it back to Germany , is it better if I open a NRE PIS account and send my SIPs through this account instead of transferring money from NRE to NRO and the doing SIPs? I know about the 1 million usd scheme etc, but I want to know if I bus mutual fund using NRE PIS account, is there any extra disadvantage in comparison to NRO non pis account. ?
