Day Trading is High risk = High reward . What is the phrase ? "Intestinal Fortitude"! I am able to face 15 – 20% draw down and still sleep like a baby .

I think it depends on your personality. I always marvel at people who are great day traders, but my personality leans to a slower, more methodical approach, on longer time frames. Trade according to what sits right with your soul.

You need a lot more capital to swing trade cause you have to have a bigger stop loss to make up for the swings in the market and me personally wouldn’t wanna worry all day if I’m winning or losing so to me I would be on the computer or phone a lot more checking

Swing all day everyday. I started out day trading and as soon as I had enough capital to swing trade I switched immediately. I’ve made so much more money consistently and wayyyyy less stressful. I’m taking my wife on vacation for the first time in a couple of years with trading profits and that feels amazing.

It's best to do both. The problem with swing is that it doesn't pay as much provided you have the same win rate as in scalping.

No PDT rule is false. PDT rule still applies as a swing trader. I keep getting in trouble for violating it when i get stopped out before funds clear.

To summarize 1. You don’t sleep as well with trades open. 2. You don’t take as many trades so you can never make as much as a day trader because you have less opportunities. 3. It is much harder to predict price in the next 3 weeks than in the next 3h. 4. You shouldn’t be day trading individual stocks anyways so PTD rule out the window, pros trade futures.

Same here. I love swing trading. And about scalpers or day traders making more money…swing traders can pack more positions and hold for longer. I've personally seen swing traders hold 12million in floating profits on a 2 million dollar account. Packed from one spot of entry. Several layers were added on at 4hr retracements. The daily TF view of the trade after several days was beautiful.
Swing trading is the best. Calculated, better for mental and physical health, and more time with family.

Anyone trading needs to be aware that the HFT quant models are able to front run all of your orders. Thus you will almost certainly LOSE on day trading and any strategy like this will likewise have the odds against you.
