I’m with Charles Schwab, but I heard the best are Fidelity, Vanguard, and M1 finance partly because of their index funds. does it matter if i switch? And am I able to close an account with Schwab?

Be sure to tell people they need a W-2, can’t use money in bank or brokerage account up to amount of your earnings on your W-2.

Question… what’s the difference between opening a Roth IRA with your bank as opposed to opening a Roth IRA with fidelity? Idk if there’s an obvious answer to this but I’m new to all of this… so I’m trying to learn 😅 plus I really want to begin investing in index funds TODAY lol

so you just open a Roth IRA and schedule transfers? Don’t we have to select Index Funds or Target Date Funds? I opened a Roth IRA recently and scheduled transfer between checking and Roth. I don’t see an option to select funds
