I like Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT) required by law to payout 90% of profits to shareholders. They pay monthly dividends. It's like owning real estate without none of the hassle.

The problem is that it takes decades to get any serious money that you can live off on. Unless you invest a large about of money from the start. Like $1.5 million or so. Good luck with it.
